04-30 Politically Incorrect Daily

Random Thought of the Day

Saturday Night Live of the 80s/90s and the Daily Show’s Jonathon Stewart predominantly made fun of Republicans. You knew it and expected it, but they’re examples of how to make fun of politicians in a fun, lighthearted way. Very often the jokes made the targets laugh themselves. Several politicians even went on SNL to do skits with their own impersonator. Compare that to today’s comedians like Samantha Bee, Stephen Colbert, and the current casts of SNL & the Daily Show. They’ve given up on lighthearted humor, instead switching to spewing pure hatred, insults, and propaganda. The perfect example of what left-wing comedy has become was demonstrated Saturday by White House Correspondent’s Dinner “comedian” Michele Wolf. I encourage you to watch if you’d like to see what today’s comedians find funny. If she did this routine almost anywhere in the U.S. before regular Americans, I’m guessing she would be heavily booed and trigger much of the audience to leave. It tells you everything though that many of the 3000 “journalists” in attendance laughed and cheered. It may have been the most classless performance by a comedian I’ve seen in my lifetime.

Quote of the Day

By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise. — Adolf Hitler
