Random Thoughts the Day

* It’s always entertaining to watch a Republican-Democrat “debate” on any mainstream media station. Inevitably it’s between a true believer Democrat and a weaked-kneed, Trump-hating RINO like Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, or Bill Cassidy. The RINO is there to provide the illusion of balanced reporting while he/she gives mainly the same answers as the Dem in rephrased ways with some kind of apology like “I hope the sane members of our party will stand up to the extremist right-wing.” And if they need an “expert” Republican for commentary on any political/economic topic, you can bet it’s someone like Anthony Scaramucci or Peter Bolton, who at one time worked for Trump before back-stabbing him, punctated with an explanation on how Trump has gone crazy on so-and-so issue. See! See! See!–even former Trump supporters now oppose him!!! 🙄 Trump got almost 75 million votes and still has thousands of allies in politics and business, but don’t expect to hear from any of them during the “balanced” MSM debates.

* Leftists love to say, “If you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about” when it comes to privacy issues and probes into a person’s finances. However, you’re seeing examples every day why this just isn’t true. Government has been weaponized in a way never seen in American history. The IRS, NSA, CIA, FBI, and federal & state court systems are being used to target any enemies of the Ruling Class. Even if you’re eventually proven innocent or the penalties overturned by the Supreme Court, they can still bleed you dry in legal fees, destroy your business, and deprive you of your freedom & reputation.

* Cryptocurrencies are once again being bid up to astronomical levels, but be careful! Althought I love the idea of a limited currency not controlled by government, any kind of money is only as good as the confidence in it. Search the web for “tulip mania” for a good example from history how anything can be bid up as a valuable currency, but can come crashing down the minute confidence erodes. Crypto is especially vulnerable since so few people understand the inner workings. I have degrees in Finance and Computer Science, yet much of it makes little sense to me, so imagine what the typical retail investor will do if any panic selling sets in. All it would take is a few comments from someone like Jim Cramer to start the “Dump” phase of the Pump-and-Dump pattern. Now that Blackrock has the biggest crypto ETF, I’m extra skeptical. And yes, I realize the U.S. Dollar isn’t exactly inspiring as a currency either.

* Google is rightfully being mocked & condemned for their Gemini AI debacle, but it’s insignicant compared to the overwhelming bias in their search engine. Search ANY news story. The first listings are usually NY Times, MSNBC, CNN, and other far-left media sources. If Fox News, Breitbart, Townhall, or other right-leaning links are ever listed, expect them to be buried pages down where 99.9% of users have stopped searching. If you want information on so-called conspiracy theories or anything that hurts their favorite politicians, expect the top links to be liberally-funded “fact” checkers and other stories to counter whatever you’re trying to learn. And if it’s a video or other irrefutable evidence such as Fauci interviews on Covid-masks and gain-of-function research, expect it to be buried. When they’re caught on this bias, they’re quick to blame the “algorithm.” 👌 BTW, Big Tech is well aware of memes showing their tech biases, so they work quickly to correct specific ones that expose them, which just reinforces they control more than they let on.

* Government shouldn’t be involved in our personal lives for more reasons than we can count, but one that should be obvious is the conflict of interests. Pharma companies, defense contractors, EV makers, and endless other donors & lobbyists create an atmosphere were politicians are sold to the highest bidder, regardless of how it affects the average citizen. Thus, you end up with failed companies like Solyndra, useless Covid mandates, pointless wars, and other disasters. Plus, the politicians and the “experts” they bring in to make decisons will always have different values. For example, when have you EVER heard a politician consider quality of life in their mandates? They made our lives miserable for two years, especially school kids and essential workers, without ONE SINGLE politician mentioning quality of life as even a factor in their decision-making process. Well-intentioned government officials are usually incompetent. That’s best case scenario. Clearly though, it’s so much worse when you consider truly evil, corrupt leaders, like the ones we have now

  1. Even Fox, who claims to be “fair and balanced,” would bring on two people to discuss some spending package or similar. One would argue why the government needed to spend $800 million, while the other would argue for $300 million. At no point was a libertarian brought on to discuss that there was ZERO Constitutional authority for the government to be doing it at ALL, and that the correct amount was in fact ZERO. Those whose existence is predicated on government, will NEVER argue against government playing a role…despite government ALWAYS being to root cause of the underlying problem in the first place.

  2. WWIII panic….

  3. Politically Incorrect is a most enjoyable site for the collection of published memes current of timely happenings or movements in the news.

    What I find here today is possibly what is or should be a column of it’s own;
    “Random Thoughts (of) the Day”.
    It is not right for placing in the middle of a Daily Memes post. Daily Memes being a quick click and move on as opposed to putting not one but five * approx. 175 words each paragraphs* (total 875 exclusive of intro) and placing it into the middle of what is a quick enjoyable read.

    Better it should be a stand alone if the publisher wants to have a following of readers. This is the wrong place, but for the right audience.
