The Drip, Drip Hit Pieces Continue

x mollie musk wsj story drug use

If you watch CNBC or consume any other business mainstream media source, you probably noticed a regularly occuring stream of hit pieces on Elon Musk the past 1-2 years. This stupid drug use story is just the latest. It’s been reported every 30 minutes the past two days by the obedient, leftist tools on CNBC. They didn’t care in the least 5-10 years ago when Musk was smoking pot on air during interviews, but now that he is a roadblock to the leftist speech monopoly and Establishment government control, he must be destroyed. The drip-drip of manufactured “news” stories is psychologically designed to teach viewers/readers to hate the target. They’ve done the same thing to Trump for 8+ years, which is why so many liberals need to be committed to insane asylums for Trump Derangement Syndrome. The pattern should be familiar as it’s applied to every new enemy of the State & Big Censorship–Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Rogan, RFK Jr, Rand Paul, Aaron Rodgers, and so on.

Speaking of Rodgers, Jimmy Kimmel’s angry rantings the past week bring the Han Solo line to mind, “I must have hit pretty close to the mark to get her all riled up like that, huh?” Compulsive liars (e.g., Bill Clinton) love to play the angry, righteous card when confronted on their BS. If you listen to the full Rodgers interview, be basically made a joke about Kimmel without directly accusing him of anything regarding Epstein. What, Jimmy can’t take a joke about something unproven that may hurt someone’s reputation? As if his entire profession isn’t built around this type of thing? Kimmel has dedicated the past 10 years to using so-called comedy to lie, distort, and ridicule any enemies of the State, Big Pharma, and leftist free speech control. This includes some of the most dishonest, distorted, cherry-picked attacks on Aaron Rodgers, himself. Kimmel is one of the most despicable creatures in the Entertainment world, and he as much as anyone is responsible for a hate-filled, divided nation.

Isn’t it interesting how the leftists switch their allegiances based on political ideology. They’ve forgiven Kimmel’s hyper-sexist past (including The Man Show), while now hating their former favorite person in the world, Elon Musk. It makes you wonder where their true principles lie? 🤔

Jimmy Kimmel Continues Trending Feud With Former QB Aaron Rodgers’ Calling Him ‘Hamster-Brained’ & Insults His Intelligence For Not Graduating Community College

BTW, don’t you love how celebrities regular attack the intelligence of Enemies of the State because they don’t have some official degree from an accredited indoctrination center, as if they themselves are brainiacs for repeating lines off a teleprompter? Have they heard there are other ways to educate yourself outside of government-run institutions, such as a giant network of computers called the “Internet,” or square things with words called “books?” I’m so sick of hearing the past few years that someone is stupid and “spreading misinformation” simply for asking honest questions on obvious topics. If you listen to any unedited, non-cherry-picked Rodgers interview, you’d see he’s never claimed to be some science authority, nor make definitive medical claims. All he’s done is point out discrepancies, questions, overwhelmingly-proven lies, and reasons why he distrusts Covid talking points. Oh, and Mr. trained-monkey-cue-card-reader Kimmel, maybe examine Aaron’s academic record a little closer. Not only was he a straight-A student, he scored in the 96th percentile in the NFL’s Wunderlic intelligence test. He only went to Community College to prove his NFL ability, and he left Cal early after it became clear he’d be a 1st round pick. It’s almost like Kimmel is trying to distort the truth. 🤔 Regardless of the QB’s education or intelligence, it doesn’t take a genius to see through the gaslighting bullshit of the last few years. And condescending leftist POS’s like Kimmel just can’t help themselves from looking down on community college, trade school, and self-educated individuals, as well as everyone else who doesn’t fit into their Hollywood/Ivy League/blue blood spoiled, elitist world.

Random Thoughts of the Day

I’ve blogged about how high labor and energy costs are prolonging inflation, but there’s another business expense which hasn’t been discussed enough — interest. Almost all corporations rely on some kind of debt financing, usually in a combination of short & long-term bonds. In the past, this has been a cheap form of financing, and since businesses plan to go on indefinitely, they generally keep the debt on their balance sheets forever through refinancing. It’s sort of like taking out interest-only mortgages that you never pay off. This is especially true of the blue chip & staple companies. Think Wal-Mart, Cambell’s Soup, General Mills, Proctor & Gamble, Hormel, etc. The cash flow of these companies is virtually guaranteed, so why not take advantage of cheap financing to use for dividends, buy-backs, and new investment opportunities? However, these companies usually have debt originally financed at 2-4% interest. Eventually all this debt will come due, but when they refiance this time, rates are 5-10%. All that additional cost is passed on to consumers as higher prices. If interest rates keep going higher, this will be like yet another time bomb to hit the economy.

California recently passed a new minimum wage for fast food workers of $20/hour. The business-illiterate dipshits in charge obviously can’t make the connection with higher prices. In addition to wage laws, many liberal areas of the country, as “champions of labor,” do their best to keep out low-price companies like Wal-Mart and Dollar Tree since they don’t pay their workers enough. This constant business interference sounds good for political campaigns, but what good does it do when you make more money if it doesn’t buy squat? A dozen eggs may cost a few bucks at Wal-Mart, but if you must rely on a small mom & pop grocery store, the cost might be 2-3 times that. All goods & services operate similarly — the more government does to price them higher, the less wages will buy. BTW, higher wages push people into brackets where tax rules “on the rich” suddenly hit more and more people. I’m sure that’s by accident. 👌

Energy development is not something that can be done in days. It takes months and years of development — exploration, extraction, refining, and transportation. And it’s expensive! So, when Democrats do everything in their power to punish & constrain energy companies, what do you think potential future investor/developers are thinking? No one can predict future elections and regulations. Why would they bother with the time & expense if at the end they get zero return on their investment? This is why the Biden Administration is not only killing current energy development but also long-term energy independence.

I’m often accused of reflexively opposing the American government. That’s not exactly true. I’m reflexively distrustful of ALL governments, both at home and abroad. I’m naturally suspicous of people who are motivated by power, who have decided they shall make a full-time job of controlling other people. I begin with the assumption their actions are to preserve & enhance their own power. I’m sure that’s not true of all politicians, but how many have you seen that actually try to reduce the size of government and its intrusion into our lives? However, I’m more likely to trust governments if there is some kind of check on their power, mostly notably by a free & honest media. So, I trust and believe virtually nothing in China, Russia, and especially terrorist-sponsoring countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia. There was a time in the U.S. and other Western nations decades ago when the press at least tried to be a check on government power. They were liberally-slanted to be sure, but they still had some semblance of ethics and professionalism. Nowadays, that has almost completely disappeared. Mainstream media has become nothing but a bullhorn for the Ruling Class. There isn’t just bias–it’s full advocacy, and they can’t even do that without constant lies and distortion. It’s made so much worse, of course, by the mass censorship from Big Tech companies. Academia, Hollywood, Big Tech, MSM, woke corporations — virtually all the influencers are pushing for the suppression of free speech, and therefore, a suppression of checks on government power. So yes, I am, and will definitely stay, reflexively distrustful and non-believing of EVERYTHING in government.

Random Thoughts of the Day

* Why is that companies can efficiently charge your credit card instantly with one click on a purchase, but if they screw up and owe you a refund, it takes 7-10 business days?

* What goes through the heads of some marketing executives when they design monthly subscription auto charges & renewal? You know the ones–where they enroll you without your knowledge, never inform you that you’re being charged, or make it time-consuming and excruciatingly difficult to cancel? Do they think they’re going to build brand loyalty and encourage future business by scamming an extra monthly charge or two?

* Who came up with the idea of putting Skip Bayless, Michael Irvin, and Richard Sherman on the same sports show–three of the most clueless, annoying assholes in all of sports commentary? And what is about sports show executives that think, “Let’s hire the cockiest, loud, unsportsmanlike, hated ex-players we can find!” Think about it–Michael Vick, Randy Moss, Warren Sapp, Keyshawn Johnson, Deion Sanders, Shannon Sharpe, and on and on. The only reason most NFL fans even know the name Richard Sherman is because of his classless taunting of Michael Crabtree at the end of the NFC Championship, with his follow-up rant to Erin Andrews. I don’t think Michael Irvin, who is totally incapable of speaking at a conversational volume, ever caught a pass is his storied career without doing some kind of in-your-face celebratory taunt. I miss the Barry Sanders’s of the world, who would celebrate amazing plays by handing the ball to an official or fan. At least I’m thankful Irvin, Bayless, and Sherman are all isolated on the same show now, which makes it easy to skip.

* Speaking of sportsmanship, I love baseball, but why is it taboo in Major League Baseball to shake hands with opponents at the end of games, which is commonplace in almost every other sport? At least in MLB, they know how to handle overly celebratory & unsportsmanlike players, who can expect high & tight brushback pitches at their next at-bat.

* I regularly see ridiculous polls such as 64 percent who would never vote for Trump, or 53 percent of Republicans who wouldn’t support him as the Republican nominee. If these idiotic polls were even remotely close to true, then why are Democrats so anxious to keep him from running in 2024? Why not let him run, get slaughtered, then pursue any legal actions afterwards, if necessary? Is it because, as usual, the polls are total bullshit? Or maybe because it’s more important to continue criminalizing the questioning of a stolen election? 🤔

* The Biden admininistration began their new Medicare “price negotiation” program–yet another government idea which sounds good on the surface. What in our past experience leads us to believe that ANYTHING government gets involved with in health care will lower costs? Putting aside the crony capitalism corruption that will likely occur as political allies are rewarded (and enemies punished), when government implements price controls, two things happen — 1) consumers over-buy something they wouldn’t have spent on if the price was higher, and 2) suppliers stop producing the good or service, as the potential profit is reduced or eliminated. Both lead to shortages, and guess what happens to prices when you have shortages? Plus, as with other medical costs, when health care providers are forced into lower payouts for Medicare, they jack up the prices to non-Medicare patients. People love to hate on health insurance companies, but I remember a time when health insurance was ultra-cheap, so cheap that it was provided standard no-cost to almost all employees. Then, government had to stick its nose in things, more than tripling the annual cost from 1992 to 2016. Bill Clinton started the trend with HIPAA and other legislation. George W continued with his Medicare Drug Program, etc. Then, of course, the biggest meddling legislation, Obamacare. While de-regulator Trump was in office, costs rose only at the same low rate of inflation (which was practically nothing back then), but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence. Just in case, government should definitely get involved again. It surely will work THIS time! 👍
