Random Thought of the Day
So, apparently 46 percent of Americans believe in the plan to give guaranteed government jobs to all. Although I question the wording of this poll, it’s difficult to believe so many people latch on to this insane idea. I’ll write a top-10 list of why this idea is so impractical in the future, but two immediate reasons come to mind: 1) We already have a $20+ trillion debt which will likely double in 10 years at the rate we’re going. How in the hell is it possibly affordable? 2) How do you keep the poorly-performing employees motivated? If you’re guaranteed a job, what is the incentive to try hard or even show up for work at all? Will this country ever learn from the failures of communism?

How do you tell a Communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin. — Ronald Reagan
