The Series of Meltdowns by the Left Is Reaching Historic Proportions 🙄
It’s no secret the Washington Post is one of the most far-left propaganda pushers in mainstream media, perhaps only exceeded by MSNBC and NY Times. Now liberals are going insane because Jeff Bezos won’t let them admit it? 🤡

Lessons from Recent History
Flashback to 2009, Barack Obama was president with a democrat majority in the house and a veto-proof supermajority in the Senate. This essentially meant he could do whatever he wanted, even without help from the usual RINOs, and he made it clear he would with his typical come-together quote, “We won! You lost! Elections have consequences.” He went to work trying to pass a government takeover of healthcare. Despite his election, the legislation was not what a majority of the country wanted, and he had a rough time even getting his own party to back it. But with total control of the House & Senate, he gave republicans absolutely nothing they wanted in the bill, including several clauses that actually might have reduced healthcare costs.
Most bills in Congress take several iterations, going back’n’forth between the House and Senate until a final compromise is reached. Democrats barely passed a clusterf*ck version of Obamacare with their 60-seat majority that even they themselves hated, much less the 40 Republicans who uncharacteristically held together in opposing it, but it didn’t matter, they just needed the 60 Dem votes. They expected it to be drastically modified in the House and go through the typical iterative change process.
Then, a monkey wrench hit. Their 60th vote in the Senate, Ted Kennedy, died. A special election was called to replace him. It shouldn’t have mattered, right?! Ted Kennedy was perhaps the most far-left member of the Senate and had been in office for decades. Surely, the solid blue state of Massachusetts would pick a Democrat to replace him. This is where we learned just how unpopular Obamacare was. The Republican, Scott Brown, ran specifically on the promise to vote against the bill. It was his signature issue. The special election essentially turned into a referendum on Obamacare. As you might guess, Brown won, and the Dems were in a bind.
However, the f**cked-up version of Obamacare did pass when Kennedy was still alive, so they essentially pushed it thru the House unchanged. Mind you, they could have easily made some compromises with Republicans to bring over a few RINO votes, but no, Barack Obama never was and never will be about bringing people together. Dems slapped the name “Affordable Care Act” on their pile of crap, and we ended up with yet another wasteful entitlement that we can never get rid of. Although the bill isn’t the only cause, in the 14 years since then, the national debt has tripled from about $12 trillion to $36 trillion, with no signs of slowing down.
Some might ask how Obama and Democrats acquired so much power despite tepid support of their policies. Well, conservative voters were fed up with endless wars, a doubling of the national debt under George W Bush, an attempted Republican immigration amnesty bill, and corporate corruption that helped bring about the 2007 prime mortgage crisis. It also didn’t help that uninspiring RINO, John McCain, was on the ticket. So, far too many voters stayed home in November 2008. In the 2010 midterms, the Tea Party helped lead one of the biggest swings of congressional power in American history, but it was too late.
So, the lesson is, Democrats CANNOT be given absolute power again. We know they obviously will try to rig the 2024 vote wherever they can get away with it, most notably in swing states where they suddenly need weeks to tally votes, unlike a couple centuries of being able to count votes the same day. We still need congressional and local elections won to provide some check on their power.
If Dems get control of the House, Senate, and Presidency this time, the top priority will be implementing systems to consolidate their power — elimination of the filibuster, amnesty for illegals, nationwide ban on voter ID, censorship of Twitter and other right-leaning outlets, packing of the Supreme Court, and who knows what else. From that point on, elections and consent of the people truly won’t matter, as we live through permanent one-party rule.
