Conservatives and libertarians know they always have to walk on egg shells to avoid offending the PC police. As the firing of Roseanne, Curt Schilling, Britt McHenry, Trent Dilfer, Tim Allen, and countless other non-liberals have found, if you have the wrong ideology, your words will be monitored, and if (when) you finally make a mistake, you’ll lose your job and probably your career. But while the Bob Iger’s and Al Sharpton’s of the world act all high and mighty when they claim a scalp, what about the flipside? Is there a political correctness double standard? Let’s example 30 examples of liberal quotes where the equivalent coming from a conservative would have led to an instant firing and crucifixion by the mainstream media. As you’d expect, NONE of the them lost their jobs because of their words.

I personally believe that neither liberals nor conservatives should lose their jobs because of their words (with the exception of advocating violence or property destruction). We live in a free speech country, and comedians are supposed to push the envelop in their acts. Everyone has the right to turn the channel or tune out the speaker. In recent years though, the mainstream media have become bullies, destroying the lives of anyone they find politically undesirable. Roseanne Barr is one of the most liberal, least racist persons on TV, yet as soon as she came out in favor of Trump, she HAD to be destroyed. The double standard in political correctness shows it’s not about stomping out racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.; it’s about ideology enforcement. In addition to getting undesirables fired and ruining their lives, it’s about sending a message to anyone else who dare speak out in favor of anything libertarian, conservative, or republican–toe the liberal line or we will assassinate your character like the media drive-by shooters we are.
