No one is more responsible for dividing the nation and acting as conduit of well-financed character assassination campaigns than the mainstream media. The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, and tech company news aggregators have been among the worst offenders. It’s no longer good enough for them to provided one-sided coverage of political issues. Now, they must destroy the lives of opponents. The latest well-coordinated personal attacks on Brett Kavanaugh are just the most recent example. Big tech companies, Hollywood, TV talk shows, and the majority of media seemingly wait for marching orders on who they should destroy next. Relentless attacks are designed to make you hate liberal political opponents. It is why the anger level among conservatives and libertarians is boiling over. Hopefully, they will take out their wrath at the ballot box. As always happens in these cases, Democrats and the media have turned the Ford-Kavanaugh situation into some kind of societal battle between ALL rape victims/accusers against ALL of the accused men. So if you don’t believe Christine Ford, you’re now insensitive and against ALL rape victims. We should be focusing on this specifics of this one case. If that were true, it would be obvious that Brett Kavanaugh is innocent of the charges and a victim of a well-financed, well-planned character assassination campaign. The reason we have an innocent-until-proven-guilty justice system is specifically for the reason that anyone can accuse you of anything, and if they tell a convincing story, destroy your life. Kavanaugh went through the most extensive vetting process of any supreme court justice in history. He went through six FBI background checks. His record was completely spotless until a few days before confirmation, when a few women threw out 35+ year accusations backed by zero evidence, witnesses, or corroboration. Unfortunately, with our corrupt and morally bankrupt media, accusations are enough to destroy his reputation. I guarantee you liberal media outlets and democratic politicians will from this point on label Kavanaugh as the “rapist”, using it in fundraising and attack campaigns. It will become a talking point repeated so often it becomes a “fact” in the mind of gullible viewers.

Flashback to 2012

Pundits have rightfully pointed out Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas confirmations as similar to the latest Kavanaugh smear campaign, but let’s not forget about Herman Cain. He was leading Republican nomination polls in the 2012 campaign after the first series of debates, then suddenly a few women came out of nowhere to accuse him of sexual harassment. Although most republicans knew it was likely another coordinated smear campaign of a black candidate who would probably defeat Barack Obama, it was still enough to drop Cain in polls, forcing him to withdraw from the race. Cain was never charged or sued, but it was yet another example of a coordinated character assassination Democrats will deploy when they’re desperate. As long as there continues to be a corrupt, compliant media, these tactics will be used again and again. Republicans need to show a backbone and call out this Kavanaugh assault for what it is.
