It’s Double Standard Season

One of the reasons I intensely despise the media is the constant double standards. Now that Trump has been elected, we can expect a daily dose of sanity-testing gaslighting and manufactured outrage, which we know would be covered completely differently, if covered at all, had Democrats been in power. Consider just some of the recent examples:

* Every Trump cabinet appointee has been subject to intense career qualification vetting, while you never heard a peep about Biden appointments, other than where they fit into the DEI smorgasbord.

* Appointing loyal supporters is now treated like a new thing and not part of the same Spoils System thats existed since the Andrew Jackson administration, as if we didn’t witness Biden ignoring merit to place people with zero experience to help him get “elected,” such as Pete Buttigieg, who like others in the primary, dropped out simultaneously to keep Bernie from getting the nomination. The media also fails to mention how Trump tried going with all Establishment recommendations in his first administration, who then proceeded to f*ck him over, one-by-one, while sabotaging his entire agenda.

* Billionaires having an effect on elections is suddenly a concern, as if Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dorsey, and virtually every other tech billionaire not named Elon hasn’t thrown their support in favor of Democrats, censoring conservatives, manipulating search results to fit narratives, burying stories such as the Hunter Biden laptop, donating boatloads of cash, etc. This is in addition to not mentioning Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Oprah, and the rest of the endless brigade of millionaire/billionaire celebrities who came out in favor of Kamala. Nor is worth mentioning how George & Alex Soros have built an entire infrastructure to manipulate public opinion, using “fact” checkers and other “nonpartisan” groups. No, Elon must be stopped for the sake of dEmoCRacy!!! 😱

* Trump wanting to negotiate peace in the Ukraine-Russia war makes him a Putin puppet, and in the Israeli-Palestine conflict, an anti-semite. However, if a Democrat tries to negotiate peace or talk with a rival nation, well, they’re being statesmanlike, complete with Nobel Peace Prizes and such.

* Now that Republicans are in power, we must have bipartisanship, with compromises and working together again, as if we didn’t just go through Biden & Obama completely flipping the bird to the half of the country who didn’t vote for them.

* Trump winning the popular vote does NOT give him a mandate for change since the vote total is only around 50 percent, as if every President since Reagan hasn’t been at or below that threshold.

* Whenever a Democrat picks some “first” of whatever minority group to a position, it’s hailed as a great example of the diversity of The Party, but when Trump picks someone based on qualifications who happens to also be a minority first, such as Scott Bessent, you don’t hear a peep from MSM. Can’t shatter that Republicans-are-bigots narrative!

* When Trump proposes a tariff, it adds to costs for consumers, and if he wants to lower a tax, the exploding budget deficits are suddenly a concern. But according to MSM, no Democrat tax increase has ever in history added to the final cost of a product or service. 👍

* Trump appointing someone who happened to work for Fox News is definitely a clown car, unqualified applicant, as if nearly every prominent Democrat administration official hasn’t had regular jobs with CNN & MSNBC before and/or after holding their positions. Of course, the media only mentions the Fox News gigs, conveniently leaving out the rest of Trump nominee qualifications, such as Pete Hegseth’s two tours and 20+ years of military experience.

* Trump needs Democrats in his administration to provide alternative voices, not noticing that RFK, Musk, and Tulsi are all former Democrats who have significant policy differences.

* Appointing an Attorney General who might investigate Democrats is now a catastrophe, as if we didn’t just watch the most corrupt AG in American history spend 4 years waging lawfare against political enemies and those evil citizens who dare practice their constitutional rights of speech and protest.

* This one is especially eyerolling – Trump hasn’t done press conferences since being elected, as if we didn’t see Biden duck them for his entire 4-year term, or Kamala, for her entire campaign.

I could go on, but you get the picture. I can say with confidence, that if you monitor mainstream media, EVERY F-ING DAY for the next 4 years will have at least one story that shows a different double standard. It’s another example why the only reasons to ever consume any of it are studying psychogical manipulation techniques and amusement.
